The noodles will soften quite a bit after freezing and thawing. While you can freeze pasta, I don’t always recommend it. Meanwhile you throw some butter in the pan that’s still on the stove, lower the heat, add the pasta and mix everything very quickly with a spoon. The real art lies in draining the pasta very, very well so that there’s absolutely no water left in it. You can add an extra tbsp or two of butter before serving. Plain pasta is not simply pasta that’s been drained with a pat of butter on top. Toss often until the pasta is heated through. To reheat on the stovetop, add the pasta with a splash of water or broth to a skillet over medium heat. Reheat either in the microwave, or on the stovetop.
